At ACARTEK we think of a job in two stages: the visible construction and the invisible preparation. The wearing course of a road is meaningless if the base beneath it was not properly compacted; so is the façade of a building if the ground under its foundation was not improved.

That is why most of the time on our sites goes into the checks made before anything is closed up: level measurement, compaction testing, reinforcement inspection, leak testing. These are not formalities that slow the work down — they are the work.
