In superstructure work the real risk for the client is not the cost itself but the cost being unpredictable. The way to prevent that is to define the work items correctly from the outset and to build a realistic programme.
Scope
- Structural frame: foundations, shear walls, columns, beams and slabs; the formwork–reinforcement–concrete cycle run to the works programme.
- Precast structures: rapid erection for industrial and storage buildings; column, truss and purlin systems.
- Steel structures: workshop fabrication, site erection, corrosion protection.
- Finishing works: walls, plaster, screed, wet area waterproofing, doors and windows, painting and façade applications.
- Refurbishment and strengthening: load-bearing system interventions and renovation in existing buildings.
Site management
Every project has a single site manager; the client deals with one point of contact. Weekly progress is reported against the works programme. Even where subcontractors are used, control and responsibility remain with ACARTEK.
