Scope
- Excavation and earthworks: open and shored excavation, rock excavation, haulage of spoil to a licensed tip.
- Fill and compaction: spreading to the correct layer thickness, compaction at optimum moisture content, compaction testing.
- Ground improvement: lime and cement stabilisation, stone columns and dynamic compaction on ground with insufficient bearing capacity.
- Slope safety and shoring: anchored shoring in deep excavations, bored pile walls and slope stability measures.
- Drainage: removal of surface and ground water from the excavation area.
Environment and safety
Spoil is hauled only to permitted sites and haulage tickets are filed. Wheel washing and route cleaning are applied at the site exit; the excavation perimeter is signed for traffic and pedestrian safety.
